About us
We are here to help shape a society with empathy and inclusion for every child.
The Radiomarathon Foundation is a non-profit, voluntary organization founded in 1991 by the company R.S.L. Radio Super (FM) Ltd. It was officially recognized as such on November 20, 1990.
The Radiomarathon was started by Evagoras Lanitis, one of the main shareholders of R.S.L. Radio Super (FM) Ltd, with the help of Super FM radio station journalists. The first event, held in November 1990, aimed to raise money to support children with special needs. A significant amount was collected from the event, which was deposited for the creation of the Radiomarathon Foundation, which was officially recognized shortly after.
The Radiomarathon Foundation aims to provide financial assistance to children with special needs for
Medical, pharmaceutical and technical support, which helps to reintegrate them into society. Funding of scientific research to address reintegration problems. Organization of seminars and group activities for the psychological and social preparation of children.
The Foundation’s resources come from events and donations. The events are organized by the Board of Directors of the R.S.L. Radio Super (FM) Ltd., together with partner companies such as CNP CYPRIALIFE, CNP Insurance, and the Cyprus Radio Foundation. All proceeds from the events are deposited into the Foundation’s treasury. It is noted that the Foundation does not receive financial support from the state and relies exclusively on donations and sponsorships.
Your support means that we can be there for children and young people in need across Cyprus, helping them to be the best they can be. Let’s listen to them!
